Over 250,000 people attend Pinks Reserve Netball Facility every year

Valley Netball run competitions on Saturday from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Tuesday Night Ladies and Wednesday Night Mixed.

We cater for all ages from 5 years old to Open and our seasons run from February to December.

The attendance on a Saturday by players, officials and spectators exceeds 5,000 throughout the day.

Many of our clubs use the Pinks Reserve Netball Facility for training, with the courts utilised every night during the week for training and specialist coaching.

The philosophy of the Valley Netball is to provide a program designed for beginners to advanced players, coaches, umpires and administrators who want to develop their skills and knowledge of the game whilst maintaining a sense of fun and enjoyment.

At Valley Netball, we intend to continue offering players in the outer eastern suburbs and Yarra Valley the opportunity to participate in this sport as well as offering them the chance to “be the best they can be” by continuing to provide the resources and opportunities to play at the highest level.

Valley Netball host a Representative tournament which attracts approximately 60-80 teams (2000 players and spectators) for a Sunday round-robin event in August.  Teams attending this event come from across Melbourne and Victoria.

Valley Netball also offer programs for players just starting netball by providing NetSetGO programs for players 5-9 yrs of age.

We also host charity tournaments for local junior teams, our last charity event, Janelle’s Miracle Netball Classic, raised $20,000 for the Australian Terminal Cancer Foundation to support families affected by a terminal cancer prognosis.

Valley Netball has 13 Representative Teams who compete weekly at the Waverley Netball Centre against some of the best teams in the state, as well as travelling to 12-13 Association tournaments throughout Melbourne and Victoria, travelling as far as Mildura.

We have been extremely fortunate to have a number of high-profile players come through the ranks of our Association.  These players include Shannon Eagland (Melbourne Vixens, Collingwood Magpies, Australia U21 National Team) and Wendy Jacobsen (Melbourne Vixens, Australia National Team) as well as numerous State Representative Players in all age groups.  We are also fortunate to continue to have many of our junior players identified by Netball Victoria and being selected for Talent Identified Squads which see these players’ progression through their careers supported by Netball Victoria.

The Valley Netball is affiliated with Netball Victoria and therefore follows their policies and guidelines such as Junior Policy, Risk Management and Member Protection. Copies of these documents can be found on our website or obtained from Netball Victoria’s website.
